Apart from performing his original material at Jazz clubs such as Bennetts Lane and Dizzys Jazz Bar, Pete plays a wide variety of jazz standards and popular music at many weddings, corporate functions, product launches etc.
Pete works in Duo/Trio/Quartet/Quintet settings and can add vocals if required. (Instrumentation can include saxophone, guitar, piano, double or electric bass, drums, trumpet, vocals etc, performed by some of Melbourne's best musicians). Performances include the launch of the Lexus Centre for Eddie McGuire and the Collingwood Football Club, the St.Kilda Football club Foundation dinner and 2004 Melbourne Grand Prix.
Recently his group "Pete Mitchell Quartet' released their debut CD "Quirky" through Move records, which is available Australia wide, and has received positive airplay and reviews.
