Fenton won an all-out BBQ brawl as LifeStyle Food Channel kicked off its first search for Australia’s #1 BBQ-er!
Great BBQ Challenge scoured the country in search of Australia’s best tong wielders to find 21 BBQ-ers who grilled against one another in pursuit of national glory. Fenton was the winner.
Fenton is married, has lived in Ipswich all of his life and loves the place.
"We have beautiful weather here and my son Jacob and I like nothing better than 'mucking about in the yard or pool' followed by a BBQ lunch or dinner,” Fenton says.
Word normally gets around on these occasions and Fenton usually ends up feeding a few extra bodies in the form of family and friends.
Cooking on the BBQ is a nice change from work for Fenton. He’s had his own restaurant for the past six years and feels that he is ready for a new challenge, and in his words: “Hosting a cooking show on TV sounds awesome!”
