After many years as Australia's favourite TV personality, Tony's career has blossomed to include cabaret, international TV appearances and event hosting to name a few.
By chance, Tony Barber's TV career began in 1969 when he first appeared in television commercials. Afterwards he was plucked by the TV show Temptation (later known as 'Great Temptation') which was the most successful quiz show of its time.
He received a Gold Logie for his success for Temptation and also released three albums in that period of time.
When Temptation finished he went on to host 'Family Feud' and of course 'Sale of the Century' which is the game show for which Tony is best known.
Sale of the Century became the most popular and successful quiz show in Australian television history.
Tony retired from full-time work on television in the late 1990's and has since put his multitude of talents into a variety of pursuits.
In recent years Tony has been lured back to the small screen via his work with Cable TV network, TV1.
Most definitely one of Australia's most enduring celebrities, Tony is a brilliant MC or host for any event. He is also a fabulous singer with his acclaimed cabaret show still touring Australia to capacity crowds.
