Kaye Sera is a multi-talented drag artiste who is well-known around Australia for her work as a singer, writer and media personality.
Best known for her radio work on JOY 94.9FM in Melbourne, Kaye has also worked extensively as a contributor to Bnews Media and on Channel 31. These days Kaye is seen on cabaret stages around Melbourne and all of Australia.
Kaye’s cabaret act has been a popular addition to Midsumma and other Melbourne Festivals for several years.
Kaye is one of the few Australian drag performers to sing live and has fostered a loyal fan base through her cabaret and other stage work. Shows include Santa’s Got A Secret, The Pussy Bow Cabaret, Dragging The Beat, Kabaresque and The Naked Drag Queen. She hosts Saturday Night Live each week at The Opium Den, a gorgeous new cabaret venue in Abbotsford
Kaye’s work as an MC and host has seen her work on stage at a range of major events and festivals in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. Kaye has worked with the Melbourne International Festival of the Arts, The Famous Spiegeltent, Midsumma Festival, Adelaide’s Feast Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Melbourne Fringe Festival.
Kaye is now in high demand on the corporate circuit as a cabaret artist, host or MC. Clients include The City of Melbourne, City of Stonnington, Henn and Hoo and numerous other corporate clients.
Kaye Sera also performs with Luke Gallagher and Adrian Kirk as a popular cabaret trio. Their shows include Harder, Longer, Faster, The Grass Roots Tour, Share and Cher Alike and Hey Fancy Pants.
Kaye Sera is managed by Daren Pope, a prolific writer, performer and broadcaster. Strangely the two are never seen in the same room at the same time.
