Peter Rabbit first appeared in 1902 in the classic children’s tale The Tale of Peter Rabbit, and subsequently in five more books between 1904 and 1912, alongside his mother, Mrs. Josephine Rabbit, and his sisters, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail.
He appears as a character in the film, The Tales of Beatrix Potter, and in the animated BBC series, The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends. Spin-off merchandise includes everything from toys to home wares.
