Sometimes words aren't enough. All the things that have and will be said about Renée Geyer...one of the world's finest singers...Australian music legend...are true and undeniable, but saying that about her still doesn't say enough.
Renée Geyer is Renée Geyer, a unique talent, not a singer whose career is dependant on yesterday or tomorrow's hit song, but someone who lives for her next performance, on stage or on record, someone who refuses to rest on her laurels.
The voice was always there. From the first time she opened her mouth those who heard turned their heads, but that wasn't enough for Renée Geyer, still isn't enough for Renée Geyer. She's much more now than she ever was.
Her recent release 'Dedicated' is Renée Geyer's twenty-second album - and she's convinced with this record she's reached a turning point. "I do rhythm and blues," Renée explains. “This genre of music picked me. I didn't pick it. With this record I've turned some kind of corner where the suit that was bought for me as a young girl, that I knew was a beautiful suit, only just now fits. It just feels right."
The Jewish Community Council of Victoria is delighted to welcome Renée Geyer as headline act for Chanukah in the City 2009.

The Chanukah All-Starr Band featuring Troy Sussman has been wowing Melbourne audiences for many years at the City of Melbourne's Chanukah in the City events at Federation Square and has performed with some of the world's top artists!
Wherever the Chanukah All-Starr Band plays crowds go wild for their superb mix of Jazz, Latin, the hottest Top 40 hits, classic Disco ad a huge range of Yiddish and Hora favourites.
Troy Sussman has appeared in almost any major commercial Musical theatre production you could care to name including Guys and Dolls, Mame, Sweet Charity, Phantom of The Opera, Hair, Chess, Miss Saigon, Jolson, The Secret Garden, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Chang and Eng, Honk, The Witches of Eastwick and Les Miserables (Australian Tour and West End London). He is soon to be seen in Mary Poppins opening here in Melbourne mid-2010.

Ronit
A passionate and captivating performer, Ronit has developed a devoted following around Australia.
Audiences are drawn to her strong vocals, emotive lyrics and fiery guitar playing. It’s a melting pot of soul, roots and rock with hints of Middle Eastern-inspired melody, due in part to her Israeli heritage.
Before emerging as a solo artist, Ronit played in several bands in Melbourne and toured with The Red Eyes as a backing vocalist. She is now accompanied by a live band featuring some of Melbourne’s finest musicians, creating a reputation as one of the city’s premier live acts.
Ronit released her single ‘Heavy’ through MGM in June 2009 and is currently in the studio recording her debut album with producer Damien Charles (The Red Eyes/Gotye), which she plans to release in early 2010.
